The purpose of this standard is to enable the delegate to develop knowledge and understanding of training and coaching as required by a practising or potential site supervisor.

The purpose of this standard is to provide candidates with the knowledge relating to: equality and diversity. This course is relevant to various job roles including: Support and Administrative, Operative and Craft, Supervisors, Management and Leadership roles.

CITB Registered Employers can claim £60 for each delegate successfully completing this course and its assessment.

Guided Learning Hours

3 learning hours which are delivered virtual or face-to-face. No pre or post learning work required.

Assessment

A Question-and-Answer paper completed at the end of the session.

Learning outcomes

The delegate will be able to:

  • Describe the topics of equality and diversity
  • Describe the types and categories of discrimination and the different ways in which this may be carried out
  • Give examples of positive individual, team and management attitudes and behaviours to help ensure removal of discrimination at work
  • Describe the value of equality and diversity to a construction company
  • Describe the main standards, services, and legislation for equality and diversity
