Asiya has been working within L&D for the past 15 years in both the UK and internationally. With a passion for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Asiya has led the charge with businesses to ensure a fair and equitable workplace for all. In order to do this, she has worked with senior stakeholders to develop data-led DEI strategies which have encompassed creating and delivering suites of training materials for employees.  Topics have included a 4-part Inclusive Leadership training programme, Recognising Unconscious Bias, How to Talk About Race, and Inclusive Recruitment.

Despite the serious nature of the topics, Asiya likes to ensure that each training activity strikes a chord with attendees through engaging content and memorable activities, as well as allowing people to be vulnerable and learn in a compassionate way. Recent assignments include:

  • Design and development of Inclusive Leadership Programme within the Healthcare sector. (Both face to face and digital.)
  • DEI monthly newsletter for a luxury Beauty business. (Digital.)
  • Design and implementation of a 360 DEI learning programme for a sports retailer. (Both face to face and digital.)
  • Led the design and implementation of a suite of e-learning materials for a pharmaceutical business. (Digital.)

Asiya’s sector experience includes retail, financial services, leisure, pharmaceutical, utilities, FMCG, automotive, and public sector.

Qualifications and memberships

  • CIPD qualified with a MSc in International Business
